Guided Tour of Osuna

This guided tour of Osuna will allow you to discover the history and main monuments of this Sevillian city. You'll walk through the historic center and enter the Asunción Collegiate Church, the Encarnación Monastery, and the Archaeological Museum.

Description

At the designated time, we'll meet at the Camino de los Cipreses, at the car park just next to the Old University and the Collegiate Church of Osuna. We will start at the Nuestra Señora de la Asunción Collegiate Church, an Asset of Cultural Interest. We will enter this Renaissance church from the 16th century and explore its Baroque art, chapels, sacred museum, and the ducal pantheon.

The tour continues at the Encarnación Monastery, a former hospital. We will visit its church, focusing on the 17th-century tiles lining the walls. After leaving the monastery, we will walk through the center of Osuna, learning about its history and interesting stories, including the Game of Thrones scenes filmed here.

Next, we will explore the Torre del Agua Archaeological Museum, featuring Iberian ceramics, Roman utensils, and Visigothic art. The tour will conclude with a visit to the different palaces and ancestral homes of Osuna until we reach the Plaza Mayor, completing the guided tour after a total of four to four and a half hours.
