Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center

At the scheduled time, we will meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and proceed to the Sandy Turtle Center for a 40-minute drive, where we will attend a talk regarding the impact of plastic on the oceans and witness their efforts in environmental conservation.

Following the talk, we will participate in cleaning Mahahual Beach to contribute to combating ocean pollution. After our cleaning effort, a selection of fruits and pastries will be provided as a snack.

In the second part of the activity, we will learn about the white turtle and the loggerhead sea turtle from accompanying biologists. To enrich our experience, we will search the beach for turtle replicas and nests.

We will conclude the activity and return to the starting point after a duration of 4 hours.
