Excursion to Sandy Turtle Conservation Center
At the designated time, we'll meet at the Mahahual Lighthouse and travel to the Sandy Turtle Center, where we will learn about turtles and ocean pollution.
After a 40-minute drive, we will arrive at the center for a talk on the impact of plastic on oceans and observe the environmental work being done there. We will then participate in a beach clean-up at Mahahual, contributing to the fight against ocean pollution.
Following the clean-up, we will enjoy a selection of fruits and pastries as a snack.
After the snack, we'll engage in the second part of the activity, focused on the world of sea turtles. Biologists will share insights about the white turtle and the loggerhead sea turtle. To complete the experience, we will explore the beach for replicas of turtles and their nests.
We will conclude our activity and return to the starting point after 4 hours.
