Do you want to discover the marine life along the Costa Maya? On this snorkel tour in Mahahual, we'll see sea turtles swimming in the crystal-clear waters.
Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the diving centre located inside Blue Kay in Mahahual. Here, we'll introduce ourselves and distribute life jackets and snorkelling equipment.
Once prepared, we'll board the boat and set sail towards the southern end of Mahuhual. We will navigate along the coast to the reef area, which is protected by a natural dam.
After anchoring, we'll enter the water. The snorkelling area has a depth of almost 2 metres (6.5 ft) and consists of two zones: the seagrass zone and the coral zone.
The seagrass zone is where sea turtles are commonly found, as it serves as their food source. The coral zone offers a chance to see various tropical fish, lobsters, squid, and diverse marine flora. If fortunate, we may also encounter thornback stingrays and even an eagle ray.
After 1.5 hours, we will conclude the activity back at the initial meeting point.
