Xcalak Scuba Diving

If you're already an experienced diver and you'd like to explore the Mexican seabed, our Xcalak Scuba Diving activity is perfect for you! During the experience, we'll dive all the way down to a depth of 130 feet.

Xcalak Scuba Diving

On the day of the activity, we'll meet at the dive centre located at Km 54 of the Camino Costero 1 hour before your chosen time. From there, we'll start our scuba diving activity in Xcalak.

Our activity will begin with a 15-minute theory lesson, after which we'll board the boat that'll be waiting for us at the dock in front of the dive centre. We'll then set sail through the Mexican Caribbean until we reach a marine park with coral reefs, mangroves, and other marine ecosystems.

We'll look for spots with ideal diving conditions where we can observe plenty of marine wildlife. Possible locations include the Sábalo Pool or the manatee reserve in Chetumal Bay. The selected site will depend on the weather and sea conditions of the day.

Once we've chosen our diving spot, we'll conduct two dives to a depth of 130 feet (40 metres). You'll have the opportunity to explore coral gardens and observe various species residing there. Each dive will last between 20 and 30 minutes, depending on the location.

Afterwards, we'll return to the Xcalak dock by boat, concluding our activity, which lasts for 2 hours and 30 minutes.
