On our Otranto private tour, you'll explore the easternmost city in Italy. Accompanied by a personal guide, you will discover its main monuments and historic links with Spain.

Description

At your chosen time, we'll meet in Piazza Castello in Otranto. From this point in the old quarter, we'll begin a walking tour of iconic buildings.

We’ll admire the façade of the 15th-century Aragonese Castle and discuss the historic periods including the Romans, Lombards, Ottomans, and Venetians that shaped Otranto's history.

We'll stroll through the town's streets to see churches, the harbour, the beach, the Monument for the Martyrs of Otranto, and more. Additionally, we’ll visit the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Annunciation, notable for its Romanesque architecture. Inside, we’ll observe the ancient mosaics and discuss their significance.

After a 1.5-hour private tour of Otranto, we will conclude outside the cathedral.
