Delve into Portuguese history exploring some of its most fascinating towns on this tour of Batalha, Alcobaça, Nazaré and Óbidos from Fátima.

Batalha, Alcobaça, Nazaré & Óbidos Tour

After being picked up from your hotel in Fátima, we will board a minibus to explore four of Portugal's most historic sites.

The first stop will be Batalha, where we will enter its monastery, a significant example of Gothic and Manueline architecture, designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Next, we will travel to Alcobaça to visit the 12th century Alcobaça Monastery and church, recognized as the first Gothic buildings in Portugal. You will have the opportunity to try a pastel de nata before leaving.

We will then proceed to Nazaré. Here, we will visit the hilltop Sanctuary of Our Lady of Nazaré, noteworthy for its baroque architecture and frescoes. You will have free time for lunch, with a recommendation to try Nazaré’s famous fish.

The final stop will be Óbidos, where we will walk through its walled historic centre and view the castle. The tour concludes with a tasting of the local liqueur known as ginjinha.

At the end of the tour, you will be returned to your hotel in Fátima by 5:30 pm.
