Day Trip to Congonhas

At 9 am, we will pick you up at your hotel in Ouro Preto and head to Congonhas. The minibus ride will take a little over an hour.

Once at our destination, we will walk through the charming streets of this town founded in the seventeenth century. We will see the facades of its colonial houses and approach the Passinhos, a set of chapels with murals of the Passion of Christ.

Afterwards, we will visit the Sanctuary of the Good Jesus of Matosinhos, a World Heritage Site. The temple features 12 sculptures of the prophets of the Old Testament at the entrance, works by Aleijadinho, representing Brazilian Baroque artistry.

The last stop will be the Congonhas Museum, which provides deeper insights into the town's history.

We will conclude the tour at 1 pm, returning you to your hotel.
