Day Trip to the Maquiné Cave & Cordisburgo

Pickup from your hotel in Ouro Preto will occur at 8 am, followed by a three-hour minibus ride to the Maquiné Grotto.

Discovered in the 19th century, this well-preserved cave features unique rock formations. As you explore, your guide will point out animals such as the elephant and the bear hidden within the cave.

Next, you will head to Cordisburgo, the birthplace of renowned writer João Guimarães Rosa. A museum visit will provide insights into his life and contributions.

During the Cordisburgo tour, you will see notable sites, including the Portal Grande Sertão, the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, and an open-air museum featuring animal sculptures. An hour and a half of free time will also be provided for lunch at a local restaurant.

The tour will conclude at 5 pm with a return to your hotel.
