On this tour to Tiradentes and Congonhas, we will explore the history of the European colonization of the 17th and 18th centuries and visit the Sanctuary of the Good Jesus of Matosinhos, a World Heritage Site.

Day Trip to Tiradentes & Congonhas

At 7 am we will pick you up at your hotel in Ouro Preto to begin the excursion to two historical cities in Minas Gerais.

The first stop will be in Congonhas, founded in the 17th century. Here, we will have a guided tour of the old town, exploring emblematic sites such as the Chapel of the Steps, colonial houses, and the History Museum. We will also visit the Sanctuary of the Good Jesus of Matosinhos, known for its European Baroque influences.

Afterward, we will proceed to Tiradentes, where we will see its old jail, the church of San Antonio, and a museum detailing the city's history. You will have two hours of free time for lunch on your own.

The tour will conclude at 5 pm, after which we will return you to your hotel in Ouro Preto.
