Ouro Preto Tour

On this tour of Ouro Preto, we will explore the history of this city, known as the cradle of Brazilian independence, including visits to churches and museums reflecting the gold rush era.

Ouro Preto Tour

At 9 am, pickup will be at your hotel to begin the Ouro Preto tour, exploring the city's main monuments and uncovering its secrets.

Previously known as Vila Rica, we will discuss the gold rush that brought wealth to the area in the 18th century.

The tour will take us through the historic center where we will visit three notable religious buildings, starting with the church of San Francisco, created by baroque artist Antônio Francisco Lisboa.

We will admire the interior of the Pilar church and visit the Carmo church. Additionally, we will enter the Oratory Museum, which features over 150 religious images spanning from the 17th to the 20th century.

A lunch break will be included at a restaurant of your choice.

After lunch, we will visit the Inconfidência Museum to discuss the 1789 revolt aimed at achieving Brazilian independence from Portugal, coinciding with the French Revolution.

The tour will conclude at 4 pm with a drop-off at your hotel.
