Covadonga Small Group Day Trip

The lakes of Covadonga, the Holy Cave, the Sanctuary, Cangas de Onis, and more are included in this reduced-group day trip from Oviedo.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from the meeting point and travel east to Covadonga. The trip will be conducted by minibus for a group of up to 8 people.

First, we'll visit Ercina Lake in the Picos de Europa National Park. Our small vehicle allows us closer access to the lakes without long walks. We will view the lakes from the Entrelagos viewpoint.

Next, we proceed to the Holy Cave of Covadonga, which houses the image of La Santina and the remains of Don Pelayo, the first Asturian king. We will explore the significance of this site for Asturians.

Afterward, we will visit the Basilica of Santa María la Real, notable for its neo-Romanesque architecture. Then, we will go to Cangas de Onis, where you will have one hour of free time for lunch at local restaurants. Finally, we’ll visit the Roman Bridge and the Santa Cruz chapel. This tour will conclude with our return to the meeting point after 8 hours.
