On this hiking route along the meanders of the River Nora, we will explore the riverside forests and enjoy its landscapes. Welcome to Asturias.

Nora River Hiking Tour

We will meet at your chosen time in Lugar Priañes to begin the hiking route along the Nora River.

The hike starts toward a viewpoint located a few minutes from the town center, providing a 'natural balcony' to admire the meanders of the Nora River. These formations illustrate the geological erosion of the river in the region.

We will descend 1 kilometer (0.6 miles) via an old path to the access road to the hydroelectric power station of the Nora River, allowing us to observe this small facility that generates energy.

The tour proceeds toward the point where the River Nora meets the Nalón River, following a picturesque path carved into the rock within a dense forest. A break will be taken here before continuing.

After the break, we will ascend a path lined with chestnut trees, passing through meadows with grazing cattle. The circuit concludes at Priañes park where a statue pays tribute to the Asturian actor Arturo Fernández.

We will return to the starting point, completing the hike after two hours.
