Ponga Natural Park Excursion

We will meet you in front of the Oviedo train station, departing by minibus to the Natural Park of Ponga, located 1 hour 30 minutes from the city. This area is noted as the least densely populated council of Asturias.

During the park visit, we may encounter wildlife such as capercaillies, wolves, and deer, and with luck, spot a European brown bear.

Our first stop is the Caño salmon spawning station, followed by a drive through the Beyos Gorge to the village of Casielles. A visit will be made to the Les Bedules viewpoint for views of the Picos de Europa mountain range and the Ponga River valley. Remember to bring your camera.

We will descend through the valley to Sobrefoz, where you have one hour for lunch and to experience the local atmosphere.

We will return to the meeting point, arriving nine and a half hours after departure.
