Ponga Natural Park Excursion

At the designated time, we'll meet you in front of the Oviedo train station and travel by minibus to the Natural Park of Ponga, located 1 hour 30 minutes from the city. This area is known as the least densely populated council of Asturias.

During the park visit, we may see wildlife including capercaillies, wolves, and deer. With luck and good weather, a European brown bear might also be spotted.

Our first stop will be the Caño salmon spawning station, followed by a drive through the Beyos Gorge to the village of Casielles. We will visit the Les Bedules viewpoint for views of the Picos de Europa mountain range and the Ponga River valley. Bring your camera for this scenic spot.

We will then descend to the village of Sobrefoz, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch and local atmosphere exploration.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point, arriving nine and a half hours after departure.
