Oxford University Guided Tour
At the appointed time, we'll meet at 15 Broad Street, inside the Oxford Tourist Information Centre, and start a tour around Oxford University, one of the oldest universities in the world.
Although the exact date of the founding of Oxford University is not known, we’ll explore the historical context, including Henry II of England's decision to ban English students from attending the University of Paris, which contributed to the establishment of Oxford University.
During the guided tour, we will walk around the exteriors of notable colleges, such as Balliol College, All Souls College, Trinity College, Oriel College, and Merton College. The age of these colleges will be discussed. We will also see the St Mary's Gothic Church chapel and explore the Bodleian Library.
To complete the tour, we will visit one of the oldest colleges, such as Brasenose College or New College, the latter serving as a site in Harry Potter. After a two-hour tour of Oxford University, we will return to the starting point and conclude the guided tour.
