Hacienda Chimalpa & Zempoala Convent Day Trip

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pachuca and set off for one of the most famous pulque haciendas in the state of Hidalgo. Pulque is also known as the Nectar of the Gods. Its origins date back to the Indigenous Peoples of Central America around the year 200. It is made from the fermentation of the maguey plant.

We'll visit the Hacienda Chimalpa to learn about their maguey plantations. During our visit, we'll see the main building, monumental church, and colonial-style chapel, as well as facilities such as Trojes Hall and Ruedo for equestrian shows.

Afterward, we'll stop at the Padre Tembleque Aqueduct, a notable hydraulic engineering achievement from the 16th century during the Viceroyalty of New Spain.

Next, we'll head to Zempoala Convent, also referred to as Todos los Santos Convent. This Plateresque-style building features an elegant façade and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the Hydraulic System of the Aqueduct of Padre Tembleque. We'll explore its temple, chapel, and atrium while learning about the Franciscan order.

Finally, we'll stop in the village of Zempoala for you to have lunch on your own before we return to Pachuca. We'll drop you off at your hotel 10 hours after pickup.
