Huasca de Ocampo & Mineral del Monte Day Trip
At the specified time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Pachuca for a day trip to iconic locations in Hidalgo.
First, we'll visit Huasca de Ocampo, a Pueblo Mágico known for its traditional pottery. Here, a craftsman will demonstrate how to mold clay, followed by a chance for you to make your own piece of pottery using your feet.
Next, we'll explore the Basaltic Prisms, a striking hexagonal geological formation. Then, we will visit the Casa del Rompope to taste rompope, a liqueur made from eggs, milk, and vanilla.
After that, we'll proceed to Mineral del Monte, another Pueblo Mágico and traditional mining town. We'll discuss the history of the Count of Regla and the 19th-century English settlers in the area. Throughout our visit, the British influence will be evident.
After a break for lunch on your own, we'll visit the Pasty Museum, highlighting a local food with English origins. Finally, we'll stop at the English Pantheon to see the tomb of Richard Bell, a noted clown and circus creator.
We will return to Pachuca and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
