Discover two of Mexico's famous Magic Towns and their traditions on our day trip to Huasca de Ocampo and Mineral del Monte, including a pottery workshop.

Huasca de Ocampo & Mineral del Monte Day Trip

We will pick you up from your hotel in Pachuca at the indicated time and set off to explore iconic locations in the state of Hidalgo.

First, we will visit Huasca de Ocampo, known for its traditional pottery. You will see a craftsman demonstrate how the clay is molded and then make your own pottery piece.

Next, we will see the Basaltic Prisms, a unique hexagonal geological formation. The tour will continue at the Casa del Rompope, where you can taste rompope, a liqueur made from eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Afterward, we will explore Mineral del Monte, a traditional mining town. You will learn about the history of the Count of Regla and the English settlers who worked in the mines in the 19th century. As we walk through the town, you will see the British influence.

After lunch on your own, we will visit the Pasty Museum to learn about this local food's English origins and then the English Pantheon to see the tomb of Richard Bell.

We will return to Pachuca and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
