Discover two of Mexico's famous Magic Towns and their traditions on our day trip to Huasca de Ocampo and Mineral del Monte. You'll also attend a fun pottery workshop!

Huasca de Ocampo & Mineral del Monte Day Trip

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Pachuca at the indicated time and set off for a day trip to the Mexican state of Hidalgo.

First, we will visit the municipality of Huasca de Ocampo, recognized for its traditional pottery. There, you'll visit a craftsman's workshop to see how clay is molded and have the opportunity to make your own piece of pottery.

Next, we will explore the Basaltic Prisms, a unique hexagonal geological formation. Following this, we will visit the Casa del Rompope where you can try rompope, a liqueur made from eggs, milk, and vanilla.

Afterward, we’ll continue to Mineral del Monte, a traditional mining town. We will discuss the history of the Count of Regla and English settlers who worked the mines in the 19th century. The town showcases the British influence and legacy.

After lunch on your own, we will visit the Pasty Museum, tracing the origins of this local food back to England. Finally, we will visit the English Pantheon to see the tomb of Richard Bell, a famous clown.

We will return to Pachuca and drop you off at your hotel 9 hours after pickup.
