Tour Highlights
Meet at the Antelope Point Launch Ramp for a guided kayaking tour of Lake Powell, a man-made reservoir on the Colorado River. After a brief introduction to proper paddling techniques, participants will gear up and enter their kayaks. First-time kayakers will receive guidance on the basics. The lake is known for its calm waters, making kayaking accessible.
Equipped with life jackets and paddles, the tour will launch onto the lake, heading towards Water Antelope Canyon, an area accessible only by water. Participants will appreciate the light channels through the red stone rock towers that create a unique ambiance.
Stops will be made along the route for photography of the dramatic red cliffs and to learn about the history of the landscape. Participants are encouraged to spot and name various freshwater wildlife native to the lake's ecosystem. The tour will conclude with a gradual return to the launch point, totaling 3.5 hours of kayaking.
