Activity Overview

We will gather at the designated meeting point on Calle O'Higgins in Pisco Elqui. Here, you will choose the cycling gear that fits your style and comfort.

After a brief 30-minute transfer from Pisco Elqui to Alcohuaz, your cycling adventure begins in this charming Elqui Valley town, perched at over 7,000 ft (1,740 m) above sea level. Are you ready to start pedaling?

Upon arrival, you will receive a detailed map to navigate the route independently. This cycling journey covers a 9.3-mile (15.10 km) rural path of moderate difficulty, allowing you to soak in the breathtaking views of the Elqui River Valley. These stunning sights are sure to create lasting memories!

Feel free to pause along the way to explore iconic sites such as the Los Nichos and Doña Josefa pisco distilleries, as well as the main squares in Alcohuaz and Horcón, both of which are delightful and picturesque villages. You'll find picnic spots and restroom facilities available, along with the chance to discover the nearby Estero Derecho River.

The entire route is expected to take around 5 hours. Please remember that you will need to return independently to the gathering location in Pisco Elqui at the conclusion of your ride.
