At 4.45 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Palenque and head east to Campeche, home to one of the largest Mayan nature reserves: Calakmul.

This significant Mayan city was discovered in the 1930s and is recognized for its historical importance, leading to its designation as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2002.

Covering approximately 70 square kilometers (43 miles), Calakmul houses over 6,700 buried structures and numerous stelae, which are carved stone monoliths detailing key events in Mayan history over nearly 1,500 years.

The tour includes a guided exploration of this archaeological site, featuring a walk through the trails to see five significant buildings, the Great Plaza, the Ball Court, and the acropolis. Our guide, specializing in Mayan culture, will provide insights to enhance your understanding.

We will conclude the tour with a return to your hotel in Palenque.
