Royal Palace + Palatine Chapel Tour

Meet us at the Piazza del Parlamento to start our guided tour of the Royal Palace of the Normans and the Palatine Chapel of Palermo.

Our first stop is the Palace of the Normans, dating back to the 12th century, which served as the official residence for the kings of Sicily. We will discuss the different monarchs that have resided here and the reforms made during Spanish rule.

As we walk through the halls of the Royal Palace, we will share fascinating facts. The highlight of the tour is visiting the Palatine Chapel, a UNESCO World Heritage Site recognized for its extraordinary Arab-Norman art. The interior features numerous golden mosaics that create various religious scenes. Participants are encouraged to take photographs throughout the tour.

After 1.5 hours, we will return to the starting point, concluding the tour.
