Palermo Markets Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet in front of the Church of Saint Ignatius in the square of the same name. From here, we'll begin a tour of the markets of Palermo, exploring Sicilian cuisine.

After introductions, we will walk to our first stop. Each of Palermo's four historic districts features its own market street. We will visit the popular markets of Vucciria, Capo, and Ballarò.

During the tour, we will discuss the significance of the markets in Palermo, including their cultural and traditional relevance. You will also observe street sellers, or abbannìano, as they call out prices and promotions.

We will not leave without sampling local delicacies, including panelle and crocchè, typical fried foods. You can also try sfincione and arancina, and for dessert, we will taste the Sicilian cannolo or possibly enjoy ice cream if the weather permits, all accompanied by Sicilian wine.

We will conclude our 3-hour tour of Palermo's markets with goodbyes. Until next time!
