Sicily Tour: Palermo to Taormina

Day 1: Palermo

Meet in the evening at the hotel in Palermo for dinner. Afterwards, check into rooms to prepare for the upcoming tour.

Day 2: Monreale and Palermo

After hotel departure, visit Monreale, located 6 miles (10 kilometers) south of Palermo. Explore the old quarter and its cathedral known for its unique architectural styles. Later, return to Palermo to visit the Cathedral of Monreale, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. End the day with dinner and accommodation at the same hotel.

Day 3: Erice, Saline della Laguna and Agrigento

Travel to Erice, situated 2460 feet (750 meters) above sea level. Visit a local winery for a guided tasting session and lunch. Proceed to Agrigento to explore the Valley of the Temples with entrance included. Dinner and overnight stay in Agrigento.

Day 4: Piazza Armerina and Ragusa

Discover Ragusa, touring its historical center and key landmarks including the San Giorgio and San Giuseppe churches. Enjoy dinner and rest for the night.

Day 5: Noto and Siracusa

Depart for Noto to explore its Baroque architecture, visiting key sites. Continue to Siracusa and visit Ortigia Island before heading to Taormina for dinner and accommodation.

Day 6: Taormina

Visit Mount Etna, climbing nearly 6,000 feet (1,800 meters) if weather permits. In the afternoon, explore Taormina and return to the hotel for the night.

Day 7: Taormina

Breakfast at the hotel, followed by goodbye as the tour concludes.
