Head to the west of Palma to visit the Genova Caves, one of Mallorca's geological treasures.
Genova Caves Ticket
The Genova district in Palma de Mallorca is home to prehistoric caves featuring stalactites and stalagmites formed by water drops. Discovered in 1906, these caves have been a subject of geological study. They also served as a refuge for hominid ancestors in prehistoric times.
After reopening to the public in 2017, visitors can explore the various domes, columns, and stone tunnels within the caves. The interiors are illuminated in bright colors, enhancing the contrast with the natural rock formations. The visit lasts between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on group size.
Timetable
The caves are open from Monday to Sunday, from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm.
