In this free tour through the waterfront areas of Palma, we will explore the connection between the capital of the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean Sea, visiting iconic places such as the Llotja and the cathedral.
Palma Waterfront Free Tour
We will meet at the Device to Root Out Evil, an upside down church sculpture, to begin the free walking tour of Palma's waterfront area.
The tour will start in Santa Catalina and Es Jonquet, the main seaside neighborhoods. Next, we will stop in front of the Church of San Telmo and the Baluarte de Sant Pere, significant monuments linked to the maritime history of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands.
We will continue along the Atarazanas area and the new and old Llotja de Palma, a key example of Mallorcan Gothic architecture designed by Guillem Sagrera in the 15th century.
Our next stop will be the statue of Captain Antonio Barceló, after which we will head to Parc de la Mar for views of the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the Palma Cathedral, known as La Seu. Finally, we will visit the neighborhood of La Calatrava and the Baluarte del Principe, concluding the tour at Can Pere Antoni beach after two and a half hours.
Groups
Our free tour does not permit groups of more than 6 people, even if booked separately. For larger groups, we suggest booking a private tour of Palma de Mallorca.
