In this free tour through the waterfront areas of Palma, we'll discover the connection between the capital of the Balearic Islands and the Mediterranean Sea, passing by iconic places like the Llotja & the cathedral.

Palma Waterfront Free Tour

At the appointed time, we'll meet at the Device to Root Out Evil, the sculpture of an upside down church, to start this free walking tour of Palma's waterfront area.

We will explore Santa Catalina and Es Jonquet, the main seaside neighborhoods of Palma. We will stop in front of the Church of San Telmo and the Baluarte de Sant Pere, two monuments linked to the maritime history of Mallorca and the Balearic Islands.

Our route will continue through the Atarazanas area and the new and old Llotja de Palma, a key example of Mallorcan Gothic architecture from the 15th century.

Next, we will visit the statue of Captain Antonio Barceló, Lieutenant General of the Spanish Royal Navy in the 18th century. We will then head to Parc de la Mar for views of the Royal Palace of La Almudaina and the Palma Cathedral, also known as La Seu.

The tour will proceed to the neighborhood of La Calatrava, featuring the Baluarte del Principe, concluding with a walk of two and a half hours ending at the beach of Can Pere Antoni.

Groups

Our free tour does not allow for groups of more than 6 people, even if bookings are made separately. For larger groups, we recommend booking the private tour of Palma de Mallorca.
