Lake Atitlan Villages Tour

Embark on a tour that will take you to the most beautiful villages of Lake Atitlan from Panajachel. We'll sail past volcanoes and discover the Mayan culture of the locals.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the door of Porta Hotel del Lago de Panajachel and head to the pier to board a boat to Lake Atitlan.

The tour will start as we cross the lake, exploring its secrets and the Mayan villages along the shores, alongside the Tolimán, Atitlán, and San Pedro volcanoes.

We'll arrive at San Juan La Laguna, where we'll walk through narrow streets adorned with indigenous murals to meet Mayan women artisans. Here, we will learn about natural dyeing of fabrics and chocolate making.

Next, we will visit San Pedro La Laguna, where the hippie community and Mayan population coexist.

We will then proceed to Santiago Atitlán to visit its impressive local market and explore the square and church. A local restaurant will provide us with authentic Guatemalan dishes.

We'll return to the boat to cross the lake again and return to Panajachel, concluding the excursion after 6 to 7 hours.
