Colon & Panama Canal Tour

On this tour to Colon, we'll take a trip along the Caribbean coast of Panama and visit various military posts along the Panamanian canal.

Colon & Panama Canal Tour

We'll pick you up at 8 am at your hotel in Panama City and drive to the Caribbean coast of the country.

After a one-hour drive, we'll arrive in Colon. First, we'll visit the neighborhoods of Margarita and Rainbow City, former communities of workers in the Caribbean zone of the Panama Canal.

Next, we'll head to the former Fort Gulick, where we'll see the facilities of the defunct United States Army School of the Americas, which trained several Latin American dictators.

The next stop will be at the former Fort Davis, currently housing the National Police officers' academy. After learning about its history, we'll continue next to the locks in the northern part of the canal.

The tour will continue to the former Sherman military base, followed by a 30-minute lunch break at a restaurant at Shelter Bay Marina. Finally, we'll take a scenic tour of Colon to see other military posts such as the Morgan Battery.

From Colon, we'll return to your hotel in Panama City, arriving at 2 pm.
