Colon & Panama Canal Tour

On this tour to Colon, we'll take a trip along the Caribbean coast of Panama, visiting various military posts along the Panama Canal.

Colon & Panama Canal Tour

Pickup is at 8 am at your hotel in Panama City, followed by a one-hour drive to Colon, a notable city on the northern coast. The first stop is the neighborhoods of Margarita and Rainbow City, which were home to former workers of the Caribbean zone of the Panama Canal.

Next, we visit the former Fort Gulick, where the United States Army School of the Americas was located, having trained several Latin American leaders. The tour then proceeds to Fort Davis, now housing the National Police officers' academy, followed by an exploration of the northern locks of the canal.

Afterward, we will visit the former Sherman military base, concluding this segment with a 30-minute lunch at a restaurant in Shelter Bay Marina. The final part of the tour includes a scenic overview of Colon, highlighting prominent military sites such as the Morgan Battery.

We will return to your hotel in Panama City by 2 pm.
