Emberá Indigenous Village Day Trip
After hotel pickup in Panama City, we will travel for an hour to the Chagres River. At the port of Corotú, we will board a traditional canoe for a ride along the river.
Cruising along the river, we will enjoy the natural environment until we reach the Quebrada Bonita, a waterfall in the jungle.
The tour continues with a visit to an Emberá Indigenous community, where we will learn about their culture, having moved from Colombia in the 18th century.
The Emberá will welcome us with a traditional dance, and community members will share information about their culture, education, and artisanry. After this, we will enjoy a lunch of tilapia, patacones, and fruit.
Following lunch, we will watch another dance performance - participation is optional. Before returning to your hotel, there will be an opportunity to purchase local artisan goods as souvenirs.
