Emberá Indigenous Village Day Trip
After picking you up from your hotel in Panama City, we'll travel for an hour toward the Chagres River. Upon arrival at the port of Corotú, we'll board a traditional canoe for a ride along the river.
Cruising along the river, we'll enjoy a natural environment of great beauty until we reach a waterfall called the Quebrada Bonita, in the jungle.
The tour will then continue with a visit to a community of Emberá Indigenous Peoples, where we'll learn about their culture. The Emberá will welcome us with a traditional dance, followed by discussions on their culture, education, and artisanry. We'll have lunch consisting of tilapia, patacones, and fruit.
After lunch, there will be another dance performance - participation is optional. Lastly, before returning to your hotel, you'll have the chance to purchase local artisan goods as a souvenir.
