Pantelleria Archaeological Tour

At the appointed time we will meet at Via Borgo Italia to begin this tour of Pantelleria's past. We'll begin by visiting the huts of the village of Mursia and the necropolis of Sesi, where we'll learn about the history of the first settlers of the island in the Bronze Age.

We'll review the stages through which Cossyra, the ancient name of Pantelleria, has passed from its origins to its decline, noting that its location was a key aspect in establishing it as a capital in the 13th century BC.

Our last stop will be at Pantelleria Castle, where we'll learn about the history of the island's battles between Arabs and Christians. The tour will conclude after four hours.
