Private Pantelleria Archaeological Tour

This private archaeological tour of Pantelleria will take you through the different historical periods of this Sicilian island, from the Bronze Age to the Middle Ages.

Tour Details

At the appointed time, we will meet at Via Borgo Italia to begin this tour of Pantelleria's past. We will start by visiting the huts of the village of Mursia and the necropolis of Sesi, where we will learn about the history of the island's first settlers in the Bronze Age.

We will review the stages through which Cossyra, the ancient name of Pantelleria, has passed, including its establishment as a capital in the 13th century BC.

The last stop will be at Pantelleria Castle, where we will learn about the conflicts between Arabs and Christians on the island.

The tour will conclude after four hours.
