Aldama Cenotes Excursion

With this trip to the Aldama cenotes, you'll visit an exceptional location in the interior of Tamaulipas. A tour through some of Mexico's most stunning natural features!

Description

We'll collect you from your hotel in Tampico and travel towards Aldama, where we'll begin our tour of these cenotes.

We'll walk along the trails full of vegetation to check out the most important natural pools in the area: El Caracol, La Azufrada, La Pilita, Poza Verde, La Cristalina, and El Zacatón, which is the deepest cenote in the world at 339 metres (1,112 feet) depth. You can also take a dip or paddle in a kayak here.

Next, we'll enter Los Cuarteles grotto, featuring skylight-like openings, stalactites up to 15 metres (49 feet), and a legend stating it was a refuge for guerilla fighters during the Mexican Revolution.

Afterwards, we'll visit El Salto Waterfall, where a natural pool allows for a refreshing dip. A delicious lunch consisting of roasted meat or enchiladas with beef jerky will be served.

Finally, once we've eaten, we'll make our way back to Tampico, expected to arrive around 11 hours later.
