Tamtoc and the Birth of Tanchipa

We'll reach the village of Tamuin to explore the Tamtoc archaeological site—a former settlement of the Huastecan culture. The site showcases funerary structures, sculptures, stelae, and murals. Here, we'll visit the birthplace of the Tanchipa River to admire the surrounding grottoes from where the crystalline waters emerge.

Minas Viejas + Micos Waterfalls

This day trip takes us to the Mina Viejas waterfalls, where two waterfalls cascade down from 50 meters (164 feet) into a natural pool with turquoise waters. Feel free to dive in for a refreshing dip. Then, we'll go to Micos, where you can try waterfall jumping.

Salto + Meco Waterfalls

This aquatic experience includes the Salto waterfall, a cascade falling from 70 meters (229 feet). Afterward, we'll head to the Meco lookout point and then take a canoe to the waterfall itself, with the option to jump into the serene waters.

Tamasopo and Puente de Dios

In this option, we'll explore Puente de Dios, a grotto surrounded by waterfalls and tropical jungle, and then visit the Tamasopo waterfalls, where you can try vine-swinging.

Xilitla and Sótano de las Golondrinas

This tour will take us to Xilitla, where we'll observe structures in the Edward James Surrealist Garden. We'll also visit Golondrinas Basement, a 512-meter (1,679-foot) deep karst cave.

Mantetzulel Caves and Huichihuayan Springs

Caving enthusiasts will visit the Mantetzulel Caves, starting at the Holy Spirit Grotto, followed by Luz del Sol Cave, and concluding at El Aguacatillo Cave where the Huichihuayan River begins, allowing a refreshing swim.
