Tour Description
At the indicated time, we will meet inside the Tourist Office of Papeete to begin our journey through the capital of French Polynesia.
Our first stop will be at Bougainville Park, where we will learn about the intriguing history of Tahiti, focusing on Captain Bougainville and early explorers and missionaries.
Next, we will head to the Assembly of French Polynesia to explore Tahiti’s political past and present, reviewing the roles of various leaders and the political landscape.
Then, we will visit the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Papeete and the iconic Catholic Cathedral to discuss the island's religious evolution, from early missionaries to prominent religious sites.
After that, we will proceed to the Municipal Market, experiencing the vibrant local culture through regional crafts and food.
Our final destination is Papeete Town Hall, showcasing colonial architecture and reflecting the French colonial influence in Tahiti.
We will conclude our tour with a stroll through Papeete, returning to the starting point after a total of 2 hours.
