Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet inside the Tourist Office of Papeete to begin our journey through the capital of French Polynesia.
Our first stop will be at Bougainville Park, where we'll learn about Captain Bougainville and other explorers who influenced the island's history and indigenous people.
Next, we visit the Assembly of French Polynesia to explore Tahiti’s political past and present, examining the roles of leaders and governments throughout history.
We then proceed to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Papeete, where we will explore the island's religious history, including the arrival of Protestantism and the establishment of significant landmarks like the Catholic Cathedral.
The tour continues to the vibrant Municipal Market, showcasing local culture through flower stalls, artisan crafts, and food markets.
Our final destination is the impressive Papeete Town Hall, reflecting colonial architecture and the French colonial influence in Tahiti.
We'll conclude our tour with a stroll through the streets of Papeete before returning to the starting point, wrapping up after a total of 2 hours.
