Description

At the scheduled time, we'll meet in front of the Matriz Church to begin this cachaça tour of Paraty, combining history with tasting sessions. We will explore the history behind cachaça, from the arrival of sugar cane in Brazil to its production process and connections with Africa. The quality of cachaça was so high that it became one of Brazil's most important products.

We will visit 5 cachaça bars in Paraty: Armazém da Cachaça, Cachaçaria Cana Caiana, Alambique Antônio Mello, Empório da Cachaça, and Escritório da Cachaça. At these venues, we will taste various types of cachaça and liqueurs, including the famous Jorge Amado cocktail, known as the most loved drink in Brazilian Venice.

Paraty is also renowned for its culinary scene; throughout the tour, recommendations for restaurants that cater to different culinary tastes will be provided.

We will conclude our experience at the Cachaça Office after approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes to 2 hours together.
