Visit three of the Loire Valley’s famous castles: Château de Chenonceau, Château de Chambord, and Château de Cheverny to experience life during the Renaissance.

Loire Valley Castles Day Trip

We'll meet at 7 am in front of the Pullman Paris Bercy Hotel. The drive to the châteaus of the Loire Valley takes a little over three hours. The excursion includes visits to two of the most recognized Renaissance Châteaux:

Château de Chenonceau

Known as the “The Ladies’ Castle”, established in 1513 by Katherine Briçonnet, it was remodelled by Diana de Poitiers and Catherine de Medici. It was preserved from the French Revolution by Madame Dupin.

Château de Chambord

Chambord is among the largest and most visited castles due to its French Renaissance design. Constructed for King Francis I in 1519, it was initially a hunting lodge. In 1981, it was designated a UNESCO World Heritage site.

After visiting the last palace, you’ll return by coach, arriving in central Paris by 8:30 pm. On Saturdays, arrival will be slightly later.

Château de Cheverny

Château de Cheverny, a Renaissance-style palace, is recognized as a World Heritage Site and has belonged to the Hurault family since the 13th century.

After visiting two of the three châteaux, you will have an hour free for lunch before heading back to Paris, arriving twelve and a half hours after pick-up.
