On this 8-day private tour, we will visit Bhutan’s notable places such as Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Phobjikha, exploring its traditions, temples, and monasteries.
Tour Details
Day 1: Arrival in Bhutan - Thimphu
You will be welcomed at Paro Airport and then taken on a one-hour drive to Thimphu, the capital, with a possible visit to Tashichoe Dzong Fortress, depending on your flight arrival time.
Day 2: Thimphu
After breakfast, we will visit the National Memorial Chorten, Dordenma Buddha, the National Library, and a handmade paper factory. In the afternoon, visit the Takin Reserve, followed by lunch and free time to explore Thimphu.
Day 3: Thimphu - Punakha
We will depart Thimphu and travel to the Punakha Valley, visiting Chimi Lhakhang temple along the way. You will learn about Lama Drukpa Kunley and arrive at your hotel in Punakha.
Day 4: Punakha
After breakfast, visit Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten followed by a 45-minute uphill walk to reach the site. Then, explore Punakha Dzong and finish the day at the local market in Wangdiphodrang.
Day 5: Punakha - Phobijkha
We will set off for Phobjikha, visiting Gangtey Gonpa and enjoying a hike in the valley, particularly looking for black-necked cranes.
Day 6: Phobijkha - Paro
You will travel to Paro, stopping at Dochula Pass and Simtokha Dzong before arriving at your hotel.
Day 7: Paro
We will hike to Tiger’s Nest (Taktshang Monastery), a challenging 2 to 3-hour climb, with stunning views. The rest of the afternoon is free to explore Paro.
Day 8: Return flight
After breakfast, we will take you to Paro Airport for your departure.
All-Inclusive Trip
The tour includes 7 nights of accommodation with meals, transfers to Paro International Airport, transportation throughout Bhutan, an English-speaking guide, and entrance fees.
A round-trip flight to Paro is required, typically returning a week after arrival.

How to Get to Bhutan?
