Canoeing down the River Sella is a popular activity in Spain. You will sail at your own pace around one of the beautiful Asturian Principalities.
Description
We will meet at the scheduled time in the Plaza Venancio Pando de Arriondas and head for the banks of the River Sella. A briefing from the guide will last around 15 minutes before boarding the canoes. This 4-hour excursion allows you to paddle downstream and explore the landscape between Arriondas and Llovio. A picnic lunch including a sandwich, candy bar, fruit, and a bottle of water will be available upon request. After finishing the descent, we will return to the meeting point.
Schedule
The descent takes place every 15 minutes, between 11 am and 6 pm.
Routes
You can choose from the following routes, all departing from Arriondas:
7km (4.3 miles) Route: lasts between 1 and 2 hours, leading to the Nuevo Tora denomination.12km (7.4 miles) Route: lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, paddling past Toraño to Llordón.15km (9.3 miles) Route: lasts 4.5 hours, passing Arriondas and Toraño, reaching Llovio near the Sella dock on the Ribadesella estuary.
Requirements
The minimum age to participate is 6 years, and participants must be at least 120cm in height (3'11").
