Guachucal + La Cumbal Lagoon Hiking Tour
At 6 am we'll meet at the monument to Antonio Nariño in the square of the same name. From there, we'll travel to the municipality of Guachucal in the south of Nariño.
Upon arrival, we'll take an ancient path used by indigenous people to reach the La Bolsa lagoon, a site of spiritual significance. The route traverses pastures on the slopes of the Cumbal volcano and borders the Los Capotes Nature Reserve.
The walk, lasting about four hours and classified as medium-low difficulty, includes discussions about the legends of the Cumbal volcano and insight into how Guachucal's inhabitants protect their natural surroundings. This journey promotes introspection and connection with nature, providing a recharge of positive energy.
At La Bolsa lagoon, you'll discover why this area was seen as a source of energy and renewal while enjoying views of the lagoon with the Cumbal volcano in the background.
We'll take a boat to cross the lagoon and enter the municipality of Cumbal. There, we will visit the Los Capotes Reserve, where lunch will be provided, consisting of soup, a fish main course, and a drink.
Finally, we'll return to Pasto, arriving back at the starting point by 6 pm.
