Come and see one of the largest lakes in Colombia on this day trip to La Cocha Lagoon, a place of beauty.
Lake Cocha Tour
We'll meet at the Plaza de Nariño at the designated time and depart towards Putumayo, where La Cocha Lagoon is located. The journey takes approximately 40 minutes. This lake is the second-largest in Colombia, after Lake Tota.
We'll walk through the beautiful area while learning about the glacial origins of the lake. The route includes a walk through the village of El Puerto, featuring Swiss-inspired wooden houses around the lake.
Our next stop will be at a farm, where the family will give a tour of their self-sustainable estate, showcasing their orchards, organic crops, and guinea pig farms. After the tour, we'll enjoy a traditional lunch made from the farm's fresh produce.
After lunch, we'll return to the Cocha lagoon to board a speedboat for a tour of the water reserve. We will sail to La Corota Island, where we will disembark for a walk to explore its wildlife and learn about local legends.
The tour concludes with a return to Pasto and a farewell snack, ending at the initial meeting point after 10 hours.
