Las Lajas Sanctuary + Tulcán Cemetery Tour

We'll meet at 10 am in the Plaza de Nariño in Pasto to depart to the city of Ipiales, where the monument is located.

During the two-hour journey, we will discuss the history, culture, and geography of the Pasto people. We will arrive at the impressive Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de Las Lajas, a neo-Gothic structure situated above the Guáitara River.

This site is important for Colombians, who come to pray and honor the image of the miraculous Señora de Las Lajas. Attendees may choose to attend the mass celebrated in the church and afterwards visit the museum to learn about the history of this place.

After the sanctuary visit, we will take a cable car to cross the Guáitara canyon, enjoying views from above. We will then cross the border into Ecuador to visit the Tulcán Cemetery, known for its gardens featuring sculptures carved into the bushes.

Finally, we will stop at a nearby shopping centre for free time before returning to Pasto. You will be dropped off at the departure point at around 8 pm.
