Tradition, heritage, handicrafts... With this private tour of Pasto you'll discover the main monuments and customs of this Colombian city with a guide exclusively for you, there is so much to discover!

Pasto Private Tour

We'll meet at 2 pm at your hotel to start a private tour of Pasto in which we'll discover the main attractions of the so called 'Surprise City' of Colombia.

First, there will be a brief introduction about this town as we walk through the historic centre. We will observe the typical architecture and visit notable churches in the city. Notably, we'll see the Cathedral of Pasto, inaugurated in the early 1920s, which replaced a demolished church from the late 19th century, preserving relics such as a wooden cross and a carving of Jesus crucified.

We will then visit the church of San Juan Bautista, the city's first cathedral, followed by the Cristo Rey church and the Sanctuary of La Merced, the patron saint of Pasto.

The tour continues with a visit to the Plaza de Nariño and the Carnival Museum, where we will discuss the Carnival of Blacks and Whites, the largest folkloric festival in Pasto.

Next, we'll explore a varnish workshop, learning about this unique handicraft technique recognized as Cultural Heritage of Colombia. Finally, we will conclude our tour by observing the preparation of typical paila ice cream.

We will end the private tour back at your hotel in Pasto at 6 pm.
