Visit to an Inga Community in Sibundoy
We'll meet at 7:30 am next to the statue of Antonio Nariño and set off for a day trip to Sibundoy. As we get further away from the Amazon rainforest, we'll pass through Andean mountain ranges, arriving eventually at the Sibundoy Valley in the Putumayo region. Upon arrival, we will visit an Inga or Camsá community, an indigenous ethnic group characteristic of this area.
The tribe members will teach us about their culture and traditions, showing us around their village and dwellings. We will learn about traditional medicine, knowledge passed down through generations. We'll discover the basic principles of the Andean worldview as seen by the Ingas and take a tour of the chagras, small indigenous cultivation plots.
At noon, we will enjoy a healthy lunch made from local products and crops. In the afternoon, we'll attend a harmonizing spiritual ceremony, which will leave you feeling renewed.
Finally, we will return to the original meeting point in Pasto, arriving at around 5:30 pm.
