Immerse yourself in Thailand's rich cultural, historical and architectural heritage on this day trip to the ancient capital city: Ayutthaya.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at National Stadium BTS Station. Then we'll travel to the Bang Pa-In Royal Palace in an air-conditioned vehicle, arriving at 10 am. This former Thai King's summer residence features a riverside complex with notable architecture, including golden pagodas and serene pools.

Next, we'll proceed to the ruins of Ayutthaya, founded in 1350 as the second capital of the Siamese Kingdom. The city fell to the Burmese army in 1767, resulting in its abandonment and the preservation of its ancient structures as a glimpse into the past. The prominent tree roots around scattered Buddha heads contribute to the historical appeal of this destination.

After exploring, we will have lunch at a local restaurant. The itinerary includes visits to Wat Mahathat, featuring a Buddha head among tree roots; Wat Mongkol Borpit, known for its large seated Buddha statue; and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, the most important complex of the ancient capital.

Finally, we will explore Wat Chaiwatthanaram, recognized for its distinct stone Thai Buddhist chedis, contributing to Ayutthaya's UNESCO status since 1991.

We will return to Bangkok with memories captured in photographs.
