On this day trip, you'll discover three famous sites in Bangkok: the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, the Maeklong Railway Market, and the ruins of Ayutthaya.
Day Trip Details
At the designated time, we'll pick you up at the National Stadium BTS Station in Bangkok and set off southwest toward the Maeklong Railway Market. After a 1.5-hour journey, we'll reach this busy open-air market where you'll have the chance to see local products and, if lucky, watch the train cross the market.
The tour will continue toward the floating market of Damnoen Saduak, where local merchants sell their products in traditional boats. We'll board one of these boats to experience shopping Thai-style.
Afterward, you'll have free time for lunch before heading to the ruins of Ayutthaya, the capital of the Kingdom of Siam from the 14th to the 18th century and an important commercial center.
Here, you'll visit the ruins of key temples: Wat Mahathat, Wat Yai Chai Mongkon, and Wat Phra Si Sanphet. You will see the famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots at Wat Mahathat, the towering stupa at Wat Yai Chai Mongkon, and the temple of Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once part of the royal palace. Your guide will explain the significance of each temple and the Buddha statues in the area.
After this tour, we'll drop you off at MBK Shopping mall, approximately 12 hours after pickup.
