Tour Details
Pickup will be from your hotel at the designated time to begin your exploration of Samarkand. Our first stop is the Guri Emir Mausoleum, an important example of Islamic architecture and the tomb of Tamerlane, also known as Timur.
Next, we will visit Registan Square, the historic center of the city, with its three famous madrasas: Ulughbek, Sherdor, and Tilla Kori, each featuring elaborate mosaics. Samarkand boasts a history that spans over 2,700 years.
We will then proceed to the Shahi Zindah necropolis, known for its stunning blue-domed mausoleums and ancient mosques. This UNESCO site provides excellent photography opportunities.
Next, we will visit the Bibi Khanum Mosque, once the largest mosque in Central Asia. You will learn about Samarkand’s significance on the Silk Road.
The tour concludes with a visit to the Siyab Bazaar, where you will have free time to explore and shop for souvenirs. The total duration of the tour is 8 hours, after which we will return to your hotel.
