For those who have just arrived in Beijing and wish to delve into the city's rich history and key locations, this complimentary walking tour offers the ideal opportunity. It's an experience not to be overlooked!

Tour Overview

Welcome to the heart of China! At the specified time, we will gather at Exit D of the Hugangquaio Metro Station to embark on this complimentary walking tour that will guide us through the key attractions of Beijing. Let's begin!

As we stroll through the streets, we aim to share the transformation of the city from an ancient walled capital to its current role as the political hub of the nation and a vital cultural landmark in the region.

Our first stop takes us to one of the city's oldest theaters, where we will delve into the world of Beijing Opera, recognized as an intangible cultural heritage.

Next, we will find ourselves in the iconic hutongs, the narrow streets characterizing historic areas of northern Chinese cities. By exploring one, we will uncover the Mongol influence present in the city. Furthermore, we'll have the chance to enter a charming courtyard that showcases notable cultural representations. In this local space, we’ll participate in a complimentary Chinese calligraphy workshop, where you can practice writing characters and take home your artwork as a keepsake!

Afterward, we will head to the Hutong Market, where you can take some time to savor a local delicacy if you choose. Rejuvenated, we’ll proceed along Yangmei Old Street, known for its artisanal shops, all while learning about the development of Beijing's urban landscape.

Our journey will continue through Dashilar Street, one of the most renowned commercial areas in Beijing. Here, we will discuss the evolution of Chinese merchants. Subsequently, we will navigate the narrowest hutong in the city as we make our way toward Qianmen Street.

In close proximity, we will discover Beijing's Central Axis, recognized as a World Heritage Site. You'll experience the distinction of standing along one of the main lines that connects the city’s significant monuments, which include palaces, imperial gardens, and ceremonial structures that illustrate the city's historical progress.

In conclusion, we’ll visit the exterior of the Zhengyangmen Gate's Archery Tower, located near Tiananmen Square. We will explore its surroundings, bringing our complimentary walking tour to a close after a three-hour immersive experience.

This complimentary walking tour does not accommodate groups exceeding six participants, even if they register individually. For larger groups, we suggest exploring a private tour of Beijing.
