Great Wall of China Day Trip
The Great Wall stretches almost 5,600 miles (9,000 km) with several visitable sections. This tour offers three options:
Badaling
This is the best-restored and most visited section, making it very crowded. However, it provides a chance to see the wall in its restored state. The tour duration is two hours.
Mutianyu
This section has beautiful surroundings and fewer visitors, making it ideal for many travelers. It is well-preserved and was historically significant as the northern barrier for the capital and imperial burial sites. The tour lasts almost two hours.
Simatai or Jinshanling
This option features steeper, less restored sections suitable for those seeking a more adventurous experience. The tour involves physical activity and lasts between 2.5 and 3.5 hours, depending on the chosen route.
The Ming Tombs (Underground Palace)
If you choose Badaling, you can visit the Ming Tombs (The Underground Palace) on the return to Beijing. This can be arranged with your guide.
Important
Tickets are not included in the price, but the supplier will procure them in advance to minimize wait times. You must provide your name, surname, passport number, and date of birth at booking. All information must match your passport to avoid issues accessing the wall. Payment for tickets is required in cash on the day of the tour.
