Discover the hutongs, historic temples, the business district, Olympic Village, and modern shopping streets of Beijing.
Description
After picking you up from your hotel’s lobby at the indicated time, we'll visit the Drum Tower, which announced the time in Beijing since the 3rd century.
Next, we'll explore the hutongs, the oldest alleys in the city, seeing locals in their traditional lifestyle. We’ll take a ride in a rickshaw to navigate these streets.
Continuing our historical exploration, we will visit the Yonghe Temple, the most significant Tibetan Buddhist temple outside Tibet.
Upon reaching Guomao, the skyscraper district, we will appreciate the city's contrasts and enjoy lunch in the area.
After lunch, we’ll go to the Olympic Village to view the structures from the 2008 Olympic Games, including the Bird's Nest and the Water Cube.
Our tour will proceed to China's National Centre for the Performing Arts, known as "The Egg," a notable modern architectural work.
We will conclude by passing through Wangfujing, Beijing's premier shopping street. While we recommend staying in this area, we can also return you to your hotel around 8 hours after pickup.
