Explore the less-visited part of the Great Wall of China on this tour of the Huangya Great Wall and the Qing Tombs. A unique historical tour!

Tour Details

This tour will begin with hotel pickup from your hotel in Beijing, followed by a drive toward the border between Beijing and Tianjin. The journey takes approximately 3 hours to reach the Huangya entrance gate.

From there, we'll walk over 3 kilometers (almost 1.9 miles), during which we will see 20 watchtowers and a fortress. We will discuss the Ming Dynasty and the significance of Huangyaguan from the Northern Qi Dynasty.

After our walk, we will have a well-deserved traditional Chinese lunch at a local restaurant.

Post-lunch, we'll proceed to the Qing Tombs, a collection of mausoleums from the 17th century, including the burial site of the first Qing emperor. This site is noted as the largest and best-preserved necropolis in China.

We will explore the funeral chambers decorated with traditional architecture housing the remains of 5 emperors, over 100 concubines, empresses, princes, and princesses of the Qing Dynasty.

Finally, we will return to Beijing and conclude the tour with drop-off at your hotel nine hours after the pickup.
