Visit Tiananmen Square, the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong, the Forbidden City, and the traditional hutong streets on our private tour of Beijing.
Description
We will pick you up from your hotel at the scheduled time and head to Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. We will view important sights such as the Qianmen Tower and the Mausoleum of Mao from the outside.
Next, we will visit the Forbidden City, the largest imperial residence in China, home to 24 emperors for over 500 years. You will explore the enclosure and learn its most notable legends.
Afterward, you will have free time to eat and rest.
In the afternoon, enjoy a traditional rickshaw ride through Beijing's ancient hutongs for 2 hours, experiencing daily life in this historic side of the city.
The tour concludes at your hotel (or an alternate location) 8 hours after pickup.
Itinerary Changes
This is a private tour, allowing you to modify the itinerary as you prefer by consulting with your guide at the start. In winter or when finishing early, we include a visit to Yonghe Temple, or Lama Temple.
Important Information
The Forbidden City is closed every Monday. On this day, consider visiting the Great Wall of China or the Temple of Heaven instead. Access to the Forbidden City may be limited during busy dates; booking at least 7 days in advance is recommended.
Required Documents
During reservation, enter the passport details of each participant accurately, as changes cannot be made later. Bring your passport on the day of the tour.
