Cross-Country Skiing Trip

Enjoy one of Finland's most deeply rooted traditions with a cross-country skiing trip in Pyhä-Luosto National Park. You will slide through the snow and discover the beauty of Lapland.

Cross-Country Skiing in Pyha-Luosto National Park

Participants will meet at the Colorado Bar & Grill Pyhä at their chosen time, where the guide will provide a brief presentation on skiing techniques. The group will then put on the cross-country skiing equipment and begin the journey.

With poles in hand, participants will enter the picturesque landscape of Pyhä-Luosto National Park. Utilizing the newly learned skiing techniques, the group will ski through the snowy forests that define the arctic wilderness.

The route includes sliding among trees and stops to admire the tall, snowcapped trees. Participants will learn about the Lappish skiing tradition, including how children start skiing as soon as they can walk.

After the tour, there will be a stop at a rest area for a hot drink and warmth by a fire before returning to the starting point, concluding the activity two and a half hours after it began.
